- Chris Geldenhuys, ConvenorThe Pringle Bay Hack Group gathered on 28 August under the cover of mist for the 116th hack in Pringle Bay. For this hack we returned to the Point area, where the Rooikrantz and Australian Myrtle are becoming a serious threat. We hacked the verges of Hangklip Road between Bell Road South and North. Despite the good turnout and the group’s courageous attack, we will have to return to the site due to the extent of the Australian Myrtle. PRINGLE BAY HACK REPORT NO 115

- Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor On a wonderful winter’s morning that you can only find in Pringle Bay, the Hack Group began work on 31 July 2016, again in Peter Road. The primary challenge again was the ever present Rooikrantz, some of them real monsters. After the previous hack, a local resident commented (due to the size of the Rooikrantz bush and the efforts of the hack) that it will take about two years to clear that servitude. Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor With a serious winter storm brewing, the Pringle Bay Hack Group started the hack on 26 June 2016 in Peter Road of Pringle Bay. The primary challenge was the ever-present Rooikrantz, some of them real monsters. Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor In the morning mist the Pringle Bay Hack Group started the hack on 29 May 2016 in Flat, High Level and Surf roads of Pringle Bay. The primary challenge was the Australian Myrtle with a number of the ever present Rooikrantz. Although most of the Myrtle were small plants, they posed a sure long-term threat. Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor Pringle Bay Hack Group finalised a successful hack on 24 April 2016 in Peak and Pass roads of Pringle Bay. The primary challenge was the ever-present Australian Myrtle. After the serious storm on Friday the hack was carried out in wonderful, perfect autumn weather. PRINGLE BAY HACK REPORT

Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor The Pringle Bay Hack for 27 March didn’t materialise, firstly due to the clash with Easter Sunday and secondly because it was raining cats and dogs that day! Our next hack is scheduled for 24 April. As usual we will meet on the pavement opposite Drosters Centre, in Central Avenue, Pringle Bay, at 08:30 where after we will proceed to the hack site. PRINGLE BAY HACK N0 111

Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor Although it might look like a cricket ‘Nelson’, the 111th Pringle Bay hack was very successful. On 28 February 2016 the Pringle Bay Hack Group assembled and performed a productive hack in Diagonal and Peak Roads of Pringle Bay. The major challenge was the Rooikrantz bushes, but even more so the ever-present Australian Myrtle. (See the before and after photos below.) Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor On one of the hottest days this summer, the Pringle Bay Hack Group convened on 31 January 2016 to perform a very productive hack in Andre and Allen Roads of Pringle Bay. Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor The Pringle Bay Hack Group convened on 29 November 2015 and, while facing a pumping southeasterly wind, performed a very productive hack in Gully and Boundary Roads of Pringle Bay. The major challenge was the Rooikrantz bushes. This time the swarm of bees was no threat and the hack progressed extremely well.
