PRINGLE BAY HACK REPORT

Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor The Pringle Bay Hack for 27 March didn’t materialise, firstly due to the clash with Easter Sunday and secondly because it was raining cats and dogs that day! Our next hack is scheduled for 24 April. As usual we will meet on the pavement opposite Drosters Centre, in Central Avenue, Pringle Bay, at 08:30 where after we will proceed to the hack site. BATTLE OF BETTY’S BAY: REPORT ON HACK NO 633

Frik Potgieter On a beautiful day a small but enthusiastic group of hackers got stuck into the Rooikrans on the piece of open land bordering Porter Drive south of the Centre Shop. Great work, but we will have to come back some time in the future to finish off. With neither Di Knott or Christine Dreyer available, Merran Silberbauer roped in willing sandwich maker, Hilary Butler from British Columbia, Canada. PRINGLE BAY HACK N0 111

Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor Although it might look like a cricket ‘Nelson’, the 111th Pringle Bay hack was very successful. On 28 February 2016 the Pringle Bay Hack Group assembled and performed a productive hack in Diagonal and Peak Roads of Pringle Bay. The major challenge was the Rooikrantz bushes, but even more so the ever-present Australian Myrtle. (See the before and after photos below.) The April hack will be on the road verges on the western side of Porter Drive - near the intersection with the R44 – at 09:00 on Sunday 3 April. Chris Geldenhuys, Convenor On one of the hottest days this summer, the Pringle Bay Hack Group convened on 31 January 2016 to perform a very productive hack in Andre and Allen Roads of Pringle Bay. The major challenge was the Rooikrantz bushes. See the before and after photos below. Despite the heat the attendance was overwhelmingly good with a total of 27 members!
