The battle for Betty's Bay: Report on Hack no 664 We were back fighting Acacia Elata and Eucalyptus on the slopes of Voorberg at this month's hack. The Battle for Betty’s Bay: Report on Hack 662 (June 2018) The troops tackled Acacia Elata and Eucalyptus in Disa Jeugkamp and on the slopes of Voorberg. A good crowd attended the hack on an absolutely gorgeous day and, like last month, lots of Rooikrans and Spider gums bit the dust. Thank you all. Betty’s Bay Hack Report No 660

What a peculiar hack! We started off with 6 people with an average age of about 80, and ended up with 21, with an average age of about 40! Lots of Rooikrans and Spider gums bit the dust. BETTY’S BAY HACK REPORT NO 653

On a lovely early Spring morning, we continued with the clearing of the Public open space on Vlei Road of Rooikrans and Myrtle. Some of the troops tackled the verge of Porter drive that we did not get to when we were working there. Some large Myrtle bit the dust! Betty’s Bay Hack No. 650

- Ed Silberbauer, Stand-in Convenor. Three young and enthusiastic troopers reported for duty on time; but had to wait for the necessary arms and ammo to arrive, which arms and ammo were a bit delayed due to mix up with the ordinance arrangements - and Richard, all the way from Pringle Bay, thought the hack had been cancelled!
