Betty’s Bay Hack Report No 666

The battle for Betty’s Bay: Report on Hack no 666

On a windy, early summer’s day, the dreaded Roooikrans along the verges of Disa Circle were tackled. This area is a good example of how this enemy proliferates if left to its own devices! But also how, with effort, the fynbos can be restored to all its glory. Well done everybody!

The tea was made by Merran Silberbauer, and the sandwiches by Christine Dreyer. Thank you ladies! Penguin Place again donated the bread, so thank you to them!

The troops were: Tom Dreyer, Jeannie Harning, Lewis and Caroline Silberbauer, Willem Stiglingh, Natalie and Bernard van Wulven, Rhea and Pierre Myburgh, Rachel Faria, Frik Potgieter, Jan and Betsey Joubert with sons Pierre and Francois and grandchildren Luke, Tim, Jacques and Alé. Ed Silberbauer provided the poison. Welcome to new hackers Pierre Myburgh and Rachel Faria.

The next Hack will be on Sunday 4 November on the corner of Disa Circle and Restio Close.
