Betty’s Bay Hack Report No 660

What a peculiar hack! We started off with 6 people with an average age of about 80, and ended up with 21, with an average age of about 40! Lots of Rooikrans and Spider gums bit the dust. Thank you all.

The tea was made by Merran Silberbauer, and the sandwiches by Jane Fearnhead. We were then spoilt with Melktert from Sandra Horn and scones from Catherine Jaussaud. Thank you all!

The troops were: Merrilee Berrisford with sons Stephen and Jeremy and grandchildren Sam, Xavier, Kate and Zara, Tom Dreyer, Ulli Niemann, Jim Russell, Richard Gould, Bernard van Wulven, John Michaelis with sons Yehudi, Herbyla, Odysseus, Melangco and Sirbasstyo, Ed Silberbauer and Frik Potgieter. Chris Geldenhuys and Willem Stiglingh put in their shift on Monday.

John Michaelis felt that our hand saws were blunt, and promptly donated R300 for new blades. He also donated his own saw! Thank you John!

The next Hack will be on Sunday the 6th of May 2018 at 8h30 next to The Crassula Hall in Crasula Drive, off Porter Drive.
