TALKS PLANNED FOR 2017:
NOVEMBER 2017 TALK
Dr Roger Parsons is a Geohydrologist who runs his own consulting company Parsons & Associates out of Pringle Bay, specialising in all groundwater aspects from exploration, assessment, contamination and monitoring amongst other related topics.
His most recent talk on radio 567 with Pippa Hudson was – understanding the possibility of solving some of the water shortages in drought stricken Cape Town with groundwater.
He heads up the Western Cape Groundwater division of the SA Geologists Association.
He chaired and organised the GWD2017 conference, which is a biennial international event. This was in Stellenbosch on October. All aspects of groundwater were part of the proceedings. The serious water issues and solutions for the Western Cape was foremost on all the experts minds.
This is a perfect opportunity for us to get up to date with what is being done in the Western Cape and a general overview of the situation in the Overstrand area.

WALKS PLANNED FOR 2017
The walk will explore a portion of the Kleinmond Mountain Nature Reserve, starting and finishing at Fairy Glen.
Meet at the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden parking area at 09h00 on Saturday, 18th November to share transport to the start at Silversands.

PRINGLE BAY HACK
Held on the last Sunday of the month. Meet opposite Drosters Centre, in Central Avenue, Pringle Bay, at 08:30 where after we will proceed to the hack site. The hack stops at 11:30. Everyone who would like to help rid Pringle Bay of alien vegetation will be welcome. Hacking tools are provided.
