It was as if there had been a message sent round ‘bring a friend’. Merrilee Berrisford swelled the number of hackers with her son Jeremy,  his wife Jean and children Sam and Kate. Kate brought her school friend  Molly Perkin and Sam his friend Trento Lambrecht. Molly’s parents Karen  & Gary were also hacking. Willem Stiglingh a regular Wednesday and  Pringle Bay hacker came with Jano Nortje from George. John & Sue Weaver  brought Megan Conrad with them.

The regulars included Maarten & Hilary  Mauve, Tom Dreyer, Rosemary Fowkes, Jan & Betsey Joubert, Jeannie  Harning, Natalie & Bernard van Wulven, Richard Smeda, Jim Russell, Lewis  & Ed Silberbauer and Frik Potgieter. Kate Berrisford and Molly Perkin  hacked as part of a school project on community service. David  Bossenger, unable to hack following an eye operation, came to assist  Jane Fearnhead and Merran Silberbauer with tea; Kate Whithead donated  the sandwiches with a variety of different fillings, thank you Kate.

The next hack will be back at Vlei Road at 08h30 on 3 September 2017.
